Oh, so you’re also into research?! Cool cool
Here are the books I have read or referenced in researching for Bean Thinking that have informed my worldview.
Note that I do not necessarily recommend these books
For my recommendations, see my top 5 democracy books list.
This is just a running list of the books I’ve read or referenced within my research. You can often learn a lot about your own views by reading books that you vehemently disagree with. You can learn about the origins of our current discourse by reading outdated viewpoints that were popular in their time. There are some books that you may only read in selected chapters. Several books below fall into each of those categories for me. They’ve all been informative in their own ways.
These books span a range of topics including democracy, governance, justice, power, society, media, knowledge, culture, race, spirituality, and the meaning of life. All are related to how we can live better lives within a better society.
This list is in reverse chronological order by year published, then by title. It will be updated periodically as I continue my reading.
Enjoy!
